Bracelet » Knot

Type: Craft
Difficulty: Easy
Supplies: 4 Pieces of Strings (2 of Each Color), Binder (or Some Other Hard-Surfaced Board), Clip
Make a very simple yet nice bracelet- great for forgotten anniversaries, BFF bracelets, little kids! It's also very easy to wear multiple ones because they're so thin, so make them in different colors and wear!

This is what you will be making today:

  • Pick out 4 colored strings- 2 of each color.
I chose Green and White. It'll be the easiest if you pick the same colors, but if you want to use others, you must replace the colors in the tutorial.
  • Knot all 4 strings. Leave a few inches on the end so that you can tie the bracelet later.
  • Clip the strings onto the binder (or some hard surface) with a clip. Bigger Image
  • Separate the two colors, with green on the left and the white on the right (or respectively in your own colors)
  • Cross the left two strings (Green) over the right two strings (White) to make a big 4.
  • Pull the Green from under the White to the left.
  • Pull the Green strings, holding the White down to make a knot.
  • Put the green back onto the left side, and make an inverse 4 with the two White strings.
  • Loop the White strings under the Green ones and pull to the left as shown in the picture.
  • Pull the inverse 4 to the left into a knot.

  • Keep on repeating the above steps. Remember to always have the Green on the left side, and pull everything to the left!
  • Stop and knot off the end as you did in the beginning when the bracelet becomes long enough. Cut the excess off, leaving a few inches.

See? Super easy! Now you can make more for your friends, yourself, your stuffed animals...
